Export Credit Insurance Corporation
ECIC was established in 2001 under the Export Credit and Foreign Investments Insurance Act, 1957 (as amended), to provide political and commercial risk insurance to South African exporters of capital goods and related services. ECIC is a self-sustained, state-owned national export credit agency. The Corporation is a registered financial service provider and regulated by the Financial Services Board (FSB).
The ECIC’s vision is to be leaders in the medium- and long-term export credit and investment insurance business, focusing on project finance underwriting, customer needs, and prudent portfolio and risk management.
To provide export credit and investment insurance solutions in support of South African Capital goods and services by applying best practice risk management principles.
