ECIC participated at the 20th Afreximbank Trade Finance Seminar 2019 that took place at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, Durban, from the 04 – 07 November 2019 as a gold sponsor.
The Afreximbank Trade Finance Seminar was the pre-eminent gathering of trade finance professionals on the African continent including top finance, business and political leaders. A line-up of high-profile speakers delivered technical learning and industry insights from the corporate and business world and from key regulatory bodies, including central banks.
In its 20th year, the 2019 event targeted measurable transformative innovation to address Africa’s $1.6 trillion international trade finance gap and will advance Afreximbank’s commitment to achieving a $4 billion intra-African trade portfolio by 2021.
The seminar brought together delegates from the African continent in the Legal, Accounting, Banking, Insurance, Regulation Institute and Governments, to discuss the opportunities and implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) from a financing perspective.
ECIC hosted an exhibition stand with the aim of sharing information with potential partners and stakeholders on the organisations mandate and service offering.
