The Structured Trade Finance Seminar and Workshop, organised annually by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), was hosted in Casablanca, Morocco, from 7 to 9 November 2018.
The 2018 seminar and workshop, was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Morocco, which was the 18th in the series that aims to equip African financial institutions, bankers and professionals from regulatory agencies, corporations and legal firms with skills for dealing with the challenges of financing transactions under heightened global economic uncertainty.
The seminar titled “Fundamentals of Structured Trade Finance” was one of the two courses on Structured Trade Finance which is run by Afreximbank.
ECIC CEO, Kutoane Kutoane was a moderator for the panel discussion under the topic “Involvement of Local Banks in Alternative Financing” at the seminar. The discussion focused on what local banks are doing to support the trade financing needs of their customers and the alternative financing products or strategies that can be adopted.
