ECIC is participating at the virtual Manufacturing Indaba from the 22 – 26 November 2021.
The event provided a platform to engage and discuss the latest global and local manufacturing trends using one point of entry inclusive of engaging panels and networking experiences using the latest industry technology.
Minister Ebrahim Patel will delivered the keynote address at the event.
This annual event was hosted to empower members of Sub-Saharan Africa’s promising manufacturing community to identify global trends; keep abreast with global competition; embrace digital transformation; cultivate a skilled workforce; enable black industrialist collaboration and acquire insight into what incentives are available to better empower their businesses in the new era impacted by COVID-19.
These discussions paved the way for a more equitable, competitive and successful manufacturing industry and economy as a whole.
The conference featured keynote addresses and invited presentations by distinguished industry luminaries including ECIC Senior Economist Sindiso Ndlovu as a panellist under the topic Access to finance for manufacturers: What financial instruments assist manufacturing and what are the options available? The panel was moderated by the Head of Green Manufacturing & Sustainable Finance at the Toyota Wessels Institute for Manufacturing Studies, Liesel Kassier.
