ECIC participating @ Manufacturing Indaba WC
ECIC participated at the Manufacturing Indaba Western Cape which took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from the 06 -07 November 2019.
Manufacturing Indaba is the leading manufacturing event in Sub-Saharan Africa and the second biggest sector in the Western Cape which contributes approximately 15% towards the South African manufacturing sector output. The province’s Agro-Processing sector has shown resilience during tough economic times, and its renewables and green tech industries have received significant investments during the past five years.
ECIC Economist Sindiso Ndlovu, joined the finance panel discussion under the topic “The role of financial mechanisms to assist manufacturers”. The panel session was moderated by Cornelis van der Waal from Wesgro. The panel will also consist of representatives from Absa, Busmark, Sactwu and the Rail Roads Association.
The Provincial Manufacturing Indaba are roadshows following the National Indaba which was hosted in June 2019. Provincial Indaba’s are hosted in Industrial led regional economies namely, Gauteng, Durban, Eastern Cape and the Western Cape.
