ECIC represented at IATF – Egypt

ECIC participated at the inaugural Intra-African Trade Fair 2018, hosted by the Afreximbank and government of Egypt in partnership with the United Nations from the 11 – 17 December 2018, in Cairo.

ECIC exhibited on the South African Pavilion led by the dti, together with 50 SME’s/manufactures DFI’s, agencies and other South African businesses showcasing their products and services to the expected 10 000 visitors. ECIC’s role at IATF is significant as the platform creates an opportunity to further advocate the corporations mandate to South African exporters as well as international buyers.

ECIC will be hosting a Power Hour session titled “Export Credit Backed Finance – the ECIC Approach” on Friday 14th December 2018 where both Ms. Portia Dube and Mr. Ben Fugah will deliver presentations on ECIC products including the SATIPP funding programme.

The Intra-African Trade Fair is the first of its kind in Africa, consisting of a 7-day trade show that provides a platform for sharing trade, investment and market information as well as enabling buyers and sellers, investors and countries to meet, discuss and conclude business deals. It provides an opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their goods and services, engage in Business to Business (B2B) exchanges and conclude business deals.

IATF provides a platform for entry into a single market of over one billion people joined together under the African Continental Free Trade Area (Acfta).
