ECIC partnered with TXF Africa from the 24 – 25 October 2023 in Cape Town. This was an unmatched opportunity to form business connections along with crucial business intelligence insights in export, project, commodities & development finance.

While each of the asset classes converge, there was a sharp focus on each department dedicating time to delve into the top challenges and themes.
ECIC Head of Deal Origination, Portia Dube, participated in a panel under the topic ‘Going places: Financing Africa’s transport infrastructure’ at TXF Africa, 25 October 2023. The panel included Alain Descamps, Chairman – STAR, Bouygues Travaux Publics (Civil works), Janina Szwedo, Senior Trade Finance Specialist, Polish Development Bank (BGK) and was moderated by Matthew McLean, President Endsight Consulting. Transport infrastructure is vital for connecting communities, economic empowerment, and Africa’s energy transition. This high-level panel discussed amongst other things, how we can bring more projects to financial close.
