ECIC was a sponsor at the TXF Africa event held in Sofitel Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) from the 9 – 10 April 2019. This Pan-African event moved to Abidjan for the first time ever!
The event examined many factors including the current commodity trade flows in West Africa and their destination markets. The presentations spoke to the challenges that are emerging in West Africa that are hampering innovation in commodity trade, review of economic nationalism and if it could pose a threat or opportunity to the regions agricultural trade and value, and what frameworks and infrastructure are needed to further enhance West African commodity trade?
ECIC Business Development Specialist, Dr Mbiya Baudouin, participated in a panel discussion under the topic Key procedural, cultural and economic differences between French and English speaking countries in Africa.
